Friday Post - Animate CC - February 16, 2018
1. What have you been doing in Animate CC?
- I have been drawing objects and turning them into symbols, which makes it available for adding motion tween in. Motion tween copies the way I move an object and makes it animated.
- Basically I have been creating objects or getting a picture/gif from google and using it to create an animated project that is within 60 frames.
2. Five Tips and Tricks I learned in Animate CC.
1.The first tip is for sound/audio. I learned that in order to place where I want the sound to start, I must place a keyframe at that frame.
2. The second tip is to always use the grid when drawing something that requires straight lines. View > Grid > Edit Grid > Show grid and snap to grid ✔
3. This one is a simple trick but it's more like a shortcut key. It is very helpful and that is 'F8' After selecting the object, if you press F8, a window will pop up to turn it into a symbol. For example that building above, I would use the select tool [V] and select the whole thing then press F8. Faster and more effiecient.
4. Another one would be another shortcut key. CTRL + ENTER will play your movie or test it. For example if there was a gif in the movie it won't start running till you actually do 'test movie' Or you can go to Control > Test.
5. The last trick is to simply lock layers. After finishing up with a layer, you have to make sure to press the lock button on the timeline beside the layer name.
The layer for growing tree for example is currently unlocked. You want to press the little circle about the lock to lock the layer.
Locking layers are very helpful because it won't let you do any changes to that layer until unlocked, so it kind of prevents mistakes.
3. How to embed a SWF (shockwave file)
There's probably many ways to do this, but here's my way of doing this.
File > Export > Export Movie > Save to Dropbox > Copy Dropbox link
then copy this:
<embed src="http://dl.dropbox.com/.right/here.swf" quality="high" allowscriptaccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" align="middle" height="300" width="300"></embed>
and make changes such as replacing the dropbox link with your own link..
Remove the www with dl, and remove everything after swf. and remove the s from https.
(NOTE: MAKE THESE CHANGES WITH YOUR OWN LINK!!!)
(and when adding the code, the flash movie won't show up so just press publish and it should be there.)

1. This past week I made a new blog, and made enhancements to it. I also learned how to set up a favicon, and I made a banner and avatar for my blog.
2. The code that I learned was making the background have colors. It was <div style="background: green;">
3. The two technologies that I usually depend on the most is a laptop and phone.
The reason I chose a laptop/computer is because you can almost do everything on it. You can download games, huge programs, and do technically anything.
I chose a phone because it can help you when you need to call someone. And since it loads faster than my laptop, if I was curious about something, I can just quickly search it up on my phone. And since laptops can't really download apps, phones are also good in that case because you can download it.

Which assignments did you enjoy and why? I really enjoyed the animate cc projects. Especially the lighting projects because it looked real...
