Game Journalism Day 2 - Survive

Question 1.
The challenge for me was to survive in general. It's still a challenge for me to survive because sometimes when I spawn, I either get a hunter's rifle, or I don't. And even then, every time I shoot a wolf coming at me, it reloads after every shot so I end up being left with injuries. After that, I can't even get far then the wolf or bear comes back to kill me. The cold is also a challenge for me. Even when I create a fire or wear warm clothes, I always get hypothermia. That's why it's a challenge for me to survive in general.

I only found Hunter's Blinds...

Corpse:

QUESTION 2.

Today I went around and explored the world. I tried finding more buildings/cabins that isn't the main. I also tried finding ways to live longer instead of just dying from bears/wolves and hypothermia. I also made a fireplace, but there's always limited things to find to start it. I even discovered new locations like rail tunnel, old lake.

QUESTION 3.

Charcoal is what's left of the fire. Like when we finish using the stove you can collect the charcoal and use it to look around the area.

QUESTION 4.

Tips:

  • Find new locations before dark and stay there (if not, then find a place and start a fire with your bedroll.
  • Keep a lookout on your status and make sure it doesn't go red
  • Avoid bears/wolves
Those are the few tips I could give, as I can barely survive myself. But by using those tips I survived a few days in the game.

Game Journalism Day 1 - Begin

1. The challenge of the game is to find a distress pistol from a mountain, and fire it to see if there's anyone who can see your signal, while trying to survive the wild.

SNARE

WOOD STOVE

2. Today I was walking around to find things and getting to know the game. I found out you can make/craft things like for example clothing, or tools using a work bench.

While exploring, I learned that rabbits and deer will run away from you, so there's no need to be worried. Except for the fact that wolves will kill you. At first, I thought I was going to die when I got attacked, but apparently wolves will give you another chance and will walk away from you after leaving you with injuries. (which you can treat) And it is possible to fight back by pressing the left mouse button.

You will also run into dead deer or corpses a lot. It's possible to see if they have anything on them by left clicking with the mouse. But you need a hatchet for the deer.

I also learned that dying by hypothermia is
possible too. So you have to make sure you're wearing warm clothes and to light up the wood stove in your cabin to survive.

Fall damage is also possible, so make sure you don't jump off a cliff because it may result in injuries and death.

3. This is very useful, the preset running key is "shift" There will be a circle on the bottom right corner. If the white circle goes down to red, it means you're tired and it will basically slow you down.

The basic movement keys are WASD.

Backpack is "I"

Clothes is "E"

These were the keys that I found mostly useful.

(I changed the key bindings in the options to the keys I feel more comfortable using)

Which assignments did you enjoy and why? I really enjoyed the animate cc projects. Especially the lighting projects because it looked real...
